Our Story

A mother. A daughter. Ten years. And one decision that changes everything.

Where it all started

Ten years ago, I started Isabella Claire Jewelry from a small table in our home. I was 28. My daughter Claire was two – sitting on the floor of my studio with a handful of beads while I made my very first bracelet at the bench above her.

I didn't have a business plan. I just had an idea, two hands, and a quiet hope that maybe – just maybe – someone out there would love what I made.

That first year, I sold 12 pieces. Each one felt like a miracle.

Ten beautiful years

Somehow, those 12 pieces became hundreds. Then thousands. Then 35,000 women across the United States, choosing one of our pieces to wear on a quiet Tuesday or send to their mother for her birthday.

We made earrings for first dates and anniversary gifts. Bracelets for graduations and "just because" days. Rings for women turning 50 and women turning 70. Each piece left our studio with a handwritten note – because I never wanted any of you to feel like a number.

Claire grew up in this workshop. She picked stones, sorted beads, learned how to thread a clasp before she learned long division. This little business raised her almost as much as I did.

Then something shifted

A few years ago, I started feeling something I couldn't name at first.

The work was still beautiful. The pieces still mattered. But quietly, something was calling me toward a different kind of life.

It started small. Claire and I began volunteering at a local animal shelter on weekends. Just an hour here, an afternoon there. But we kept coming back. Every Sunday evening, we'd come home quieter than we'd left – thinking about the dogs and cats still waiting in their kennels.

The ones who'd been there for months. The ones nobody came back for.

The question that changed everything

A few months ago, Claire asked me a question I haven't been able to put down since:

"Mama, what if this was what we did? Not just on weekends?"

I thought about it for a long time.

Ten years of building something I love. Thousands of you who'd trusted us with your most personal moments. How do you walk away from that?

But every time I sat with the question, I came back to the same answer: the lesson I most want Claire to take into her own life isn't about building a successful business. It's that success and money aren't the point.

The point is following what calls you – even when it doesn't make sense on paper.

What comes next

So we're closing.

Not as an end. As a beginning.

Every piece left in our studio is part of our farewell collection – the very last we'll ever make. Once they find their homes, the shop closes for good.

And from this moment forward, every order does more than carry beauty:

🐾 $5 from every order goes directly to our local Animal Shelter, a registered animal rescue we've partnered with for these final weeks.

🐾 The proceeds from our closing sale will help Claire and me build something we've quietly dreamed of for years: a small animal sanctuary of our own – a place where dogs and cats waiting too long for a family will finally find one.

This is what your order does now. This is what your "yes" makes possible.

Thank you for ten beautiful years

To every woman who chose one of our pieces over the past ten years – thank you.

You were our birthdays. Our anniversaries. Our quiet Tuesdays. You wore our work to weddings and walks in the park and afternoons that didn't seem worth dressing up for, until you put on something handmade and decided they were.

You let us be part of your story. Now, you're helping us begin our next one.

With all our love,

Isabella & Claire 🐾

P.S. If you'd like to take a piece of our story home with you β€” our farewell collection is open for these final weeks. Each piece is one of the last we'll ever make. Once they find their homes, that's it.
